why is there nothing on uk tv anymore?

years ago there was always something on now all you get is things like big brother pop idol what happen to good old shows like only fools and horses, men behaving badly,steptoe and son,are you being served, we pay so much money for junk we should be paying for something we dont want

It's been like that for years. !00s of channels all showing krap,repeats of krap,and krap repeats of the repeats.
I haven't had a tv for about 4-5 years now,and only watch about 2hrs a week at a friends house.

Western Riders!: Wanna give an opinion?

I'm an english rider. I've done it for almost 5 years, and love it. I also took a year off and rode western, but I had an older mare then (20 years old) and I didn't want to take any chance with her by trying to compete or anything of the such. I enjoy a very country lifestyle, and am thinking about giving western another try. With a younger, more nimble horse this time. Now, I'll always keep riding english, I love it soo much. But just wondering, do you guys think it would be something I could successfully try without crackin' my noggin' tooooo much? Or making too much a fool of myself (although that's not very important to me)? Just sort of wondering...

(Oh, and I know that this probably shouldn't be in the horse racing category, but it's the only one with horses in it. -sigh-)

FYI for future visits, go to pets, then horses. There is an entire section dedicated to horsey people.

But, give western a try again. Maybe you could take some lessons first, before you invest in all of the tack and a horse that's suited for it. See if you like it, and can hang with it.

You're balance is obviously just fine, so the transition shouldn't be too difficult, but there are certainly going to be things you need to get used to, like sitting a trot, neck reining, etc.
