Lots of words yet little understanding. In Old Testament times, men and women wore clothing that was superficially similar – long robes and wrapping garments were common for both sexes. Yet, the specific types of garments and the way in which they were worn made a clear distinction between the sexes, and this command instructs God’s people to respect those distinctions.

Some have taken this command to be the “proof-text” against women wearing pants and some Christian groups command that women wear only dresses. Yet, this is not a command against women wearing a garment that in some ways might be common between men and women; it is a command against dressing in a manner which deliberately blurs the lines between the sexes.

Seriously, The Royle Family is a better/funnier show than Only Fools and Horses?! Or Monty Python? The former was voted Britain's best sitcom (and holds a record for a most viewed episode) while the latter is probably the most influential comedy show of all time, British or otherwise.In fact, in any list of best British comedy series these two should take the first two places. I would also put Thick of it very high up. Fawlty towers never struck me as being particularly funny, the Blackadder's humor was sometimes uncouth (one obvious example being the abominable character of Flash in the fourth series), while the Office was a great show but lasted only two seasons and had too few episodes (something which almost all British comedies suffer from).
