Well it's 1 of the 2 most tricky times of the year other than my dads b-day, well i have no idea what to get him ,when i was younger it was easy cuz i'd get the cheesey best dad mug etc...lol, do you have any ideas of what i can him? thats a little different a little background info on him, he loves footy, but can't wear the shirt and already has nearly everything 4 his club, he also likes only fools and horses but has all the box sets, & his music well he has all the cd's so hes a hopeless case lol, any suggestions?
Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
This is a really beautiful poem too!
The things you taught me I will always know.
How could I not? The roots have sunk so deep:
All lessons of the heart that I will keep
No matter who I am or where I go.
Kids learn from what their parents are, and so
You are my book of life, the thoughts I reap;
From you I learned the rules of right and wrong
Against which I at times had to rebel,
Though with regret I carry with me still.
How lucky I am to have been loved so well,
Even as I pushed against your will,
Relying on a father fair and strong.

Make A Star Season Finale: Original Music Finalists Perform, $10,000 Winner Revealed
March is a time of year filled with tournament madness, filling out brackets and voting for your favorite musician in a national competition. But for two upstart rock bands on opposite sides of America, this March is different, as they've found themselves in the spotlight, with music fans around the world casting votes for them.
Fools & Horses, an alternative rock band from Baltimore, Maryland and Zen Vendetta, a hard rock band from the east bay town of Livermore, California are the two groups left in the final match of Make A Star's Original Music contest. Fools & Horses' song "Selfish" and Zen Vendetta's "I'm Alive" had until Sunday March 8th to gain as many fan votes on MakeAStar.com as they can and hope Make A Star's panel of music industry judges (including legendary A&R executive Russ Regan) give their original songs the higher score. Voting closed on Sunday, and now the world waits for the nationally broadcast season finale for the winner to be revealed.
Make A Star, the brainchild of founder Dr. Iman Foroutan, is a competition and contest website (www.MakeAStar.com) that has revolutionized the music and talent reality competition concept by linking the internet and television together seamlessly.
Bands and solo artists in all styles of popular and independent music uploaded their music videos on MakeAStar.com to enter this competition free of charge. With so many competition and social networking websites now available for musicians to promote their music, MakeAStar.com has stood out by providing a fast-track to national exposure by broadcasting a weekly national TV show in conjunction with the online competition.
Syndicated on FUSE Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM, the Make A Star show highlights dozens of the highest scoring and most unique music videos throughout the competition. Hosts Lynda Halligan and Greg Chard bring a fresh mix of class and cheeky humor to the half-hour show as they recap the latest winners and new music each week. This Saturday's season finale features both finalists in person, as representatives from Fools & Horses and Zen Vendetta journey to Make A Star's southern California studio for the taping, where they'll perform their songs and find out who wins live on set.
Asked to share their thoughts, Fools and Horses' Matt Hutchison, said, "The band is really stoked to have made it this far. Our fans are really rooting us on and couldn't be more thrilled at our success. Zen Vendetta is a fantastic group and 'I'm Alive' is a rockin' song. The guys in the band are also extremely gracious and kind, so we're going into this final round as new and good friends. I'm looking forward to meeting them and coming out to California to the Make a Star HQ!"
Zen Vendetta singer Scott Eckardt and bassist Josh Wolfer echoed similar sentiments, saying that they are "honored to be in this final round with Fools & Horses. In our brief interactions with Matt Hutchison, it was quite evident that he is a genuine and great person. It's gonna be a blast being in the studio with him and the Make a Star crew! Let's make rock n' roll history this weekend!"
The final match is a showdown that e spans both coasts, from the nation's capital to the Golden Gate Bridge. These two distinctly American rock bands bring slightly different flavors of sound and style, but both rock with class and sonic refinement that has taken them to the top of this competition - proving they both have a huge future ahead of them that can only be helped by Make A Star's $10,000 cash prize and national media exposure.
While this hugely successfully Original Music competition is winding to a close, Make A Star is revving up the engines for the spring by launching an Open Mic contest that invites amateurs around the world to sing, play guitar, deliver stand-up comedy, and close to anything else imaginable via webcam to compete for the highest scores and win up to $5,000 in total cash prizes. In a more specific field of talent, Make A Star's new Guitar Star contest offers a $500 cash prize to the best original guitar solo performance.
So, I watched the video the whole time saying holly shit, there isn't a girl out of place. My husband said 'whatcha' watching?' I told him he said 'oh, they do that?' I think it's AMAZING. I then re-explained to my DH that it's like the mounties on horses to music (Musical ride?) but girls on skates and ice. He seemed to get it better that way.

If you can find a version of "All the Pretty Little Horses" that you like, it's a classic vocal lullaby.
