why are all british movies boring to watch ?

its like your watching shakespear all the time.lol british actors act like there in a stage play all the time. even if its comedy.they always treat it like there doing a shakespear movie.{ kind of over-acting lol }.why couldn't they just be themselves like the american actors. they act more real and take it like there just ordinary person when there acting.so there movies kind of realistic than those british movies . which kind of a stage play than a cinema right.

I agree, there have been very few British films that I have ever really enjoyed. I think part of the reason is, is because it is a different kind of humor than we are used to. For instance I love the show the Office, and I tried to watch the British version and really could not wait for it to end, just was not funny.

Funny clips, british comedy actors?

Can anyone remember the name of a 1980's British comedy that ran on MTV, usually right before The Young Ones?

Some of the same actors from The Young Ones were in this comedy as well and I believe it didn't have a laugh track. Different syle than The Young Ones, but just as brilliant.

"The Comic Strip Presents" (1982-84), which featured three Young Ones cast members plus Jennifer Saunders (AbFab) and Dawn French (Vicar of Dibley) as cast members.

One classic episode spawned the Spinal Tap-like metal band Bad News (which actually released an album in 1986 produced by Queen's Brian May). They also released a version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on Manhattan Records (a part of Capitol/EMI) as a single; the music video is on YouTube.

This might've been released on DVD in the UK a while back.
